Clue One Done

Last night I finished the first Mystery Stole 3 clue. Here it is in all its funky glory. I fear there's a baaaad mistake about a third of the way up; can you see it? Sigh. Am I ripping back? Heck, no.

To divert myself from mooning about the imperfections of my creation, here's a cute story.

Last Saturday Tom and I are in the car going to get groceries. Up the block we pass a young, male neighbor who's wearing skimpy shorts and tennis shoes, working in his front yard, lugging a wheelbarrow full of something.

Tom: Look, a stud muffin.
Me: (thinking quickly) Oh, hon, I don't need to look. You're my stud muffin.
Tom: No, I'm more your stud jelly donut. Your stud danish.

Happy knitting!

LMAO! Stud donut... I always liked donuts better anyway.
And FWIW, I can't see the mistake, and your stole looks lovely! I haven't started mine yet. Sigh. You'd think I'd have used the time before the first clue to finish up deadline knitting, but you'd be wrong.

That has to be the cutest thing ever. Stud donut. Stud Danish. Love it.

Your MS3 looks great. I went through the hassle of fixing a screw up and that will be the last. Good god that was a pain and I will be faking it from now one.

Hah! In addition to being cute, your Stud-Donut is funny too. You're very lucky!

The Mystery Stole looks great! If you wear something dark underneath the stole, we will never see your mistakes!

Stud donut.....FUNNY!! You could start referring to him as SD on your blog.

I don't see the mistake???? Fixing lace is a PAIN!! Don't blame you for not wanting to fix. I usually end up making it worse than it was to being with.

Ok, I saw it--do I get a prize? Seriously, it looks a lot like mine, mistakes and all! Except for mine's white. And skinnier yarn. But otherwise, related. And that's a cute giggle from Tom. Jelly donut indeed--lemon, for sure!

What a funny comment Stud donut, that made me laugh, I'd rather have a donut than a muffin any day!
Your stole looks super, but I can't see the mistake, it is just fantastic, so best left alone!

I can't see the mistake - its not as obvious as mine anyway. I've not ripped back either I rekon that when the whole thing is knit it will be so big and there will be so much to look at that a minor mistake isn't going to show up - only a perknikety (sp?) person would notice. Well done on getting this far, I am about 2/3 through clue 2, hoping to finish tonight ready for clue 3 tomorrow.

LOL - love the Stud-story! ;)
And your stole is coming along so beautifully - I for one can't spot the mistake, seriously - can't be that bad then, can it? Wow, I'm totally curious by now how this stole is going to look like in all its glory - please, post many more pics, will you?
