Central Park Hoodie update: Both front sides and the back are knit. I'm 3" into the sleeve ribbing (I'm knitting both at once), and it's tough going. The Black Water Abbey has given me a yarn burn on my index finger where I hold it for tension.
Ouch.
But I am not without *ahem* resources. Marie Marie - click here. And I'm back to it.

Aww your poor widdle finger! But yay for progress!
And I <3 kitten wars!!! lol!
yarnburn?
serious?
hard core,dude
You are hardcore. Really.
Oh yeah...the same thing happens to me when I crochet with Noro Kureyon. My index finger gets this dent in it from the rough yarn. What's a knitter/crocheter to do? Solution: Stop working for awhile and read blogs! Congrats on your progress! Soon it will be 99 degrees and you'll only be able to wear the CPH inside the air-conditioned supermarket!
Ooooh, distracting me with kitten pictures? Low blow! However they are darling...makes me wish one of mine was a kitten. Oh well. Gotta get back to slaving over my CPH. Although, that was a pretty good bribe you threw out the other day...almost enough to make me throw the competition!
A yarnburn?! Wear it like a badge of honor. :) Here's something you might consider in the future: http://www.fingergloves.com/Finger_Gloves_Customer_Comments.htm
I like your kitten distraction for the competition. So cute! It makes me want one.
Ohhhh, poor you! This happens to me - or my fingers - too once in a while, especially when I knit with cotton... And I think it just goes to show that knitting is way more dangerous to one's health than anyone would think ;)
